EMDR Consultation That Goes Beyond the Basics
Are you working toward EMDRIA Certification and seeking quality consultation at an affordable rate? Whether you’re newly trained in EMDR or working toward certification, consultation can feel both exciting and overwhelming. My goal is to create a space where you can slow down, build confidence, and deepen your clinical work—not just check off hours.
As an EMDRIA Consultant-in-Training (CIT), I provide comprehensive, culturally-attuned EMDR consultation to support clinicians in their professional development.
With my holistic, whole-person approach and expertise in trauma-informed care, I bring a unique perspective to EMDR consultation. I offer EMDR consultation that integrates attachment, somatic awareness, and cultural responsiveness, supporting you in developing your own authentic style as a therapist. I understand the challenges of integrating EMDR into your practice while maintaining fidelity to the protocol, and I'm here to support you every step of the way.
Consultation with Me
My consultation approach mirrors my therapy practice: holistic, culturally-attuned, and person-centered. I believe in creating a safe, supportive space where you can:
✔ Strengthen EMDR protocol and case conceptualization
✔ Present your most challenging cases without judgment
✔ Receive feedback that honors your clinical intuition
✔ Integrate somatic and relational approaches into EMDR
✔ Explore identity, culture, and context in the therapy room
✔ Navigate client blocks, looping, and dysregulation
✔ Build confidence in your EMDR practice
This is a space where you can bring both your clinical questions and your uncertainty—and be met with curiosity, not judgment.
I especially enjoy working with:
Therapists completing EMDR training
Therapists new to EMDR
Clinicians working toward EMDR certification
Therapists feeling stuck or unsure in sessions
Clinicians working with trauma, anxiety, and attachment wounds
BIPOC and AANHPI therapists exploring cultural identity in their work
Therapists wanting to move beyond rigid protocol into more relational, flexible EMDR

EMDRIA Certification requires a total of 20 consultation hours. At least 10 of those hours must be individual (one-on-one) consultation, and at least 5 hours must be completed with a fully EMDRIA-Approved Consultant. The remaining hours, up to 15, can be completed with an EMDRIA Consultant-in-Training like myself, giving you a flexible and more affordable path toward certification.
-
An EMDRIA-Approved Consultant has completed all requirements for full consultant status, including their own consultation-of-consultation hours, and can provide an unlimited number of your required hours. A Consultant-in-Training (CIT) is actively working toward that full approval under the guidance of an Approved Consultant, and can provide up to 15 of your 20 required hours. CITs often offer consultation at a lower rate while still providing high-quality, knowledgeable guidance grounded in EMDRIA standards.

Getting started is simple. You can reach out by email or phone to set up a free 15-minute call where we'll discuss your consultation goals, scheduling needs, etc. From there, we'll schedule consultation sessions that work for you and begin tracking your consultation hours toward EMDRIA certification.
-
This will be discussed more thoroughly after we have established our consultation status but you can expect coming prepared with a case or clinical question you'd like to discuss, including where you are in the EMDR protocol with that client (history-taking, preparation, desensitization, etc.) and any specific challenges you're encountering. Notes on the client's presentation, target memories, and any blocks to processing are helpful, though we can also use the time to talk through general questions about protocol fidelity or case conceptualization.
-
Yes. EMDRIA allows you to combine consultation hours from multiple consultants as long as the overall certification requirements are met, including at least 5 hours with a fully EMDRIA-Approved Consultant and at least 10 hours of individual consultation. Many therapists work with a CIT for some hours and an Approved Consultant for others, which can make the process more affordable while still meeting every requirement. In order to receive a Letter of Support from me, however, you must have at least 5 consultation sessions demonstrating evidence of fidelity in EMDR Therapy.
You don’t have to have it all figured out to begin.
Consultation is a place to learn, refine, and grow at your own pacethat feels aligned with who you are as a clinician.
